Job summary

APAR TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain security controls across systems, networks and applications. The role emphasizes vulnerability assessments, incident response and DevSecOps collaboration.

You will work with IT, development and operations teams, apply NIST/ISO27001 standards, and leverage SIEM, PAM, DAM, firewalls and IDS/IPS to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in security for networks, applications or systems.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography and standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and threat modelling.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls for systems, networks and apps.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities via assessments, patching and testing.
• Monitor security events and investigate potential threats and incidents.
• Support incident response and remediation actions.
• Configure and monitor SIEM, PAM, DAM, firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Collaborate with IT, development and ops to embed security in SDLC.
• Maintain security procedures and technical documentation.
