Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Security Consultant - Design and Implementation to lead security systems design for commercial and critical infrastructure in Singapore. Hybrid work model and international project exposure offered.

You will coordinate with architecture, MEP, ICT teams and government agencies, oversee installation and commissioning, and deliver vendor-neutral, compliant solutions. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering with 5 years of experience or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security technology and security systems design.
  • Experience designing security systems for commercial buildings and critical infrastructure.
  • Project management and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented spatial planning and technology integration for constructability.
  • Experience in data centers is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in IT and networking technologies and ICT coordination.
  • CPP/PSP/CISSP desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, integration, and delivery of physical and electronic security systems across commercial buildings and critical infrastructure.
  • Lead design and integration of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and biometric systems.
  • Coordinate with architecture and MEP disciplines to maintain scope, quality, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with facility representatives, contractors, and government agencies for seamless execution.
  • Perform feasibility studies and master planning; provide strategic security guidance.
  • Conduct performance validation tests for security systems and ensure design criteria compliance.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning, including submittals and site activities.
  • Deliver vendor‑neutral, buildable, maintainable solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Provide training and support for end‑users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain vendor-neutral approach and focus on commissioning and outcomes.
  • Travel to client sites may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, integration, and delivery of physical and electronic security systems across commercial buildings, critical infrastructure, etc.
  • Lead the design and integration of physical and electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and biometric systems.
  • Coordinate with architecture and MEP disciplines and support management of the construction program to maintain scope, quality, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams facility representatives, contractors, and government agencies to ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, master planning, and provide strategic advice for technology and security implementations.
  • Conduct performance validation tests for security management systems and ensure compliance with design criteria.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of security systems, including review of submittals and site activities.
  • Provide vendor‑independent, buildable, and maintainable solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver training and support for end‑users and stakeholders.

  • Travel to client sites may be required based on project needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a Diploma in Engineering with 5 years of experience, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security technology, development of security technical specifications, security systems design, and security projects implementation.
  • Experience designing and implementing security systems for both commercial buildings and critical infrastructure.
  • Project management and coordination skills with multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to conduct detailed spatial planning and technology integration to ensure constructability and operations readiness.
  • Experience in executing security design and implementation for data centers is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in IT and networking technologies and support system integration and coordination with ICT teams.
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional); desirable but not mandatory
