A local tuition centre in Singapore is seeking a part-time Science tutor to teach Secondary Science classes. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of tutoring experience. Responsibilities include modifying learning materials and engaging with parents to discuss student progress. The role offers 2 to 4 classes weekly with a pay rate of $50-$70 per hour.

Overview

Tuition Centre in AMK requires Part Time Science Tutor

Responsibilities
  • Teach Secondary Science classes to around 2 to 12 students per class (Online or Hybrid).
  • Well-versed with S1-S4 syllabus.
  • Comfortable to appear on social media videos (if needed).
  • Engage parents and guardians to communicate students' progress and areas for improvement, ensuring a strong partnership between Keynote Learning and families.
  • Modify and create Science learning material, worksheets, PowerPoint slides.
  • Being able to teach Primary Science will be an added advantage.
  • Mark online homework and physical homework.
  • Provide useful feedback to students.
  • Do video recordings of lessons.
Requirements
  • Has taken O Level in Singapore before.
  • Has taken at least 1 Pure Science in O level before.
  • Attained a Bachelor's degree of any field.
  • Minimum latest 3 years’ 1-1 or group tutoring experience in teaching Science at Secondary levels, demonstrating a deep understanding of the curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Full time Science tutors are welcome to apply.
Schedule & Compensation

2 to 4 classes a week (2 hours per class).

Rate: $50-$70/hour.
