At The Pique Lab, we’re on a mission to create the best Math & Science learning experience for students aged 9 to 16 in Singapore. Our lessons are meticulously crafted based on pedagogical research, data-driven methodologies and have one overarching goal:to make learning fun, shorten learning curves and help students develop a genuine appreciation for Math & Science.
Over the past decade, we've grown from a pair of co-founders to adiverse team of over 100 team members across 10 departments. Our proprietary learning methodology and examination-centric materials havehelped more than 20,000 students ace their examinations.
Our headquarters is in Singapore, with remote teams in China, India, Malaysia and the Philippines. We take pride in our open, fast-paced and flat organisational structure where every team member is valued for their skills and competencies, not just their job titles.
As our Physics Teacher & Curriculum Designer, you'll take the lead in crafting our secondary Physics curriculum and lesson materials, aligned with MOE learning outcomes and our approach to learning, and bringing that curriculum to life yourself through effective and engaging lessons.
#1 Primary Focus: Curriculum Development
With your keen insight into current MOE education approaches and syllabus changes, you will be involved in:
Designing Effective Topical Notes: Build genuine conceptual mastery in Physics, alongside MCQ/OEQ answering techniques that help our students learn and score in Physics better and faster.
Designing Targeted Worksheet Practices: At The Pique Lab, we build exam confidence in our students from Day 1 by using a mix of original questions and thoughtfully selected past-year exam questions.
Staying Ahead of Curriculum Shifts: Keep up with pedagogical trends and evolving exam formats across schools, GCE and IP exams, bringing that insight directly into how we design our materials.
#2 Secondary Focus: Teaching
Honing Your Teaching Craft: We handle the scheduling and service‑related communications, so you can focus on what matters: teaching, marking and helping your students grow through your targeted feedback.
Sharing Prior Industry Experiences: Your students are always curious about what they see around them. In your classes, you can bring your prior industry experience into the classroom, enriching how students connect Physics to the real world.
Extend Your Impact Beyond the Classroom: Your teaching doesn't have to stop when the lesson ends. Share your expertise with even more students locally and internationally through articles and videos, growing your impact beyond your own classes.
We'd love to have a chat with you if you meet the following criteria:
Strong Background in Physics: You have a solid grasp of the subject at the secondary level and can break down complex Physics concepts into clear, engaging explanations. Added bonus if you majored in Physics, Engineering or a related field at university.
