Position: Secondary English Teachers (July 2025)

Reporting To: Principal

Middleton International School (MIS) is part of the EtonHouse International Education Group. MIS offers high-quality international education with a focus on a global community.

The school combines the UK National curricula with Singapore-inspired Maths and Chinese in primary years, the UK-based IPC, IMYC, Cambridge IGCSE, and UK A-Levels. Job Description:

Teaching, Learning and Assessment
  • Prepare and implement curriculum to develop students' confidence, proficiency, and love of learning, preparing them for Cambridge exams.
  • Support critical and creative thinking through inquiry, observation, and experimentation.
  • Prepare reports, conduct parent conferences, and maintain student records.
  • Engage with co-teachers for curriculum planning and student support.
  • Interact positively with students, uphold school conduct codes, and ensure safety and well-being.
  • Support students' social and emotional growth and involve parents in classroom activities.
  • Set assessments, mock exams, and coursework as per syllabus and calendar.

Other Duties
  • Participate in meetings and professional development.
  • Maintain punctuality and professional communication with parents and staff.
  • Contribute to school community and improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to policies, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Supervise, cover classes when needed, and monitor attendance.
  • Follow departmental syllabuses, prepare lessons, and assess student work.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in English subjects.
  • Experience with IB, Cambridge IGCSE, and A Levels is desirable.
