Overview

Senior School Emotional Guidance Counsellor; August 2026 start; Singapore.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior School Emotional Guidance Counsellor to lead social-emotional guidance & counselling function in the Senior School, supporting the wellbeing, mental health, resilience, and pastoral care needs of students, working within the school’s pastoral and safeguarding framework.

Qualifications & Experience
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience working in counselling or guidance roles in school settings (senior secondary preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting students through emotional/social challenges and transitions; experience in crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of best practices in social‑emotional learning, restorative practices, safeguarding, child protection.
  • Skills in designing and delivering preventive and developmental wellbeing programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, cultural awareness, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, emotional maturity, resilience, and professional boundaries.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other counselling or pastoral staff is a plus.
