Job summary

MIND ON EDUCATION LEARNING CENTRE in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Secondary Chemistry teacher to deliver structured lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus and to help students build a strong foundation from Secondary 3. You will explain concepts clearly, guide problem-solving, and tailor explanations to address individual learning gaps.

The role requires strong Chemistry knowledge, excellent English communication, and a passion for shaping students' academic growth through engaging

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in Chemistry.
• Familiar with the Singapore Secondary 3 & 4 Chemistry syllabus and examination requirements.
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring Secondary Chemistry is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Able to explain Chemistry concepts clearly and patiently.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Responsible, punctual and committed to students' learning progress.
• Passionate about teaching and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and structured Secondary 3/4 Chemistry lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus.
• Explain Chemistry concepts clearly and guide students in applying concepts to structured, calculation and application-based questions.
• Prepare students for WAs, EOY and GCE O-Level Chemistry, with emphasis on building strong foundations from Secondary 3.
• Identify students' learning gaps and provide targeted explanations, practices and corrections.
• Prepare and use lesson materials, worksheets and revision resources to support students' learning.
• Mark assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve.
• Monitor students' academic progress and maintain appropriate records of their performance.
• Develop students' confidence in Chemistry, scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to maintain consistent teaching standards and quality.
