A logistics company in Singapore is seeking a candidate for shipment coordination. Responsibilities include managing the export of goods, customer service, and liaising with internal departments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and knowledge of logistics software. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle time-sensitive shipments.
1. Shipment Coordination
Organize and manage the export of goods via ocean freight.
Book cargo space with co-loaders, carriers and shipping lines.
Prepare shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List).
Coordinate with shippers, consignees, and third-party vendors (freight forwarders, customs brokers).
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
2. Customer Service
Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding export shipments.
Provide shipment status updates and resolve any issues that arise.
Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
3. Coordination with Internal Departments
Liaise with the sales, operations, and finance departments.
Provide shipment cost estimates and quotations when needed.
4. Tracking & Reporting
Monitor shipment progress and keep customers informed of any delays.
Track container movements.
️ Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of sea freight operations and Incoterms.
Familiarity with shipping documentation and export regulations.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SysFreight, CargoWise, SAP, or other TMS/ERP systems).
Attention to detail and ability to handle time-sensitive shipments.
Team player with problem-solving abilities.
