Job description

Job Overview:

The A*STAR Quantum Innovation Centre (Q.InC) is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to contribute to pioneering projects in the development of quantum sensors. By integrating the latest advancements in ultra-coherent mechanical resonators, optics, and quantum mechanics, this role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge quantum technology. The successful candidate will work closely with our dynamic team to drive impactful fundamental research while addressing real-world application challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in physics, micro/nano systems, electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven strong research track record.
  • Expertise in quantum optomechanical systems with hands-on experimental skills and a solid theoretical foundation. Experience with levitation-based systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in cleanroom nanofabrication, including EBL, lithography, wet and dry etching, and related tools.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment for optomechanical system measurements, as well as data acquisition, analysis and presentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about research, and capable of managing research projects from conceptualization to execution.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in an interdisciplinary.
