A research institution seeks a talented candidate to join the team focused on developing next-generation quantum sensors at the A*STAR Quantum Innovation Centre. The candidate will engage in innovative tasks such as creating high-performance squeezed light sources and characterizing them, modeling dynamics of levitated particles, and microfabricating materials. A Ph.D. in a related field and skills in programming, teamwork, and communication are essential, with a preference for prior experience in superconductivity or quantum sensing.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious candidate to join our team in developing next-generation quantum sensors. The project focuses on creating a mesoscopic-scale "artificial atom" through superconducting levitation of a ferromagnetic particle. This levitated, freely precessing particle represents a system of correlated spins, capable of rapidly averaging quantum uncertainty. By leveraging this system, we aim to develop quantum sensors with sensitivities surpassing the standard quantum limits.
This position is based in A*STAR Quantum Innovation Centre (Q.InC). The successful candidate will contribute to a range of innovative activities, including:
