WD is seeking a researcher to design physics-constrained ML methods and deploy them into real product development. You will shape PINNs, uncertainty quantification, and causal ML to improve reliability and yield. Expect collaboration with storage domain experts and rigorous validation against physical ground truth.

The role emphasizes producing validated prototypes with thorough documentation and contributing IP through preprints or patents as part of WD’s data-driven product strategy.

Qualificações

• Master's or PhD in AI, ML, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong AI/ML research focus and scientific computing background required.
• Peer-reviewed publication or significant open-source scientific ML contribution.

Responsabilidades

• Originate and advance PINNs methodology with physics-constrained loss functions and digital twin modeling.
• Lead Bayesian deep learning and experimental design research for autonomous experiment selection.
• Own causal inference framework for reliability and product development improvement.
• Design physics-constrained generative models for synthetic data generation and deployment.
• Produce validated research prototypes with complete technical documentation for handoff.
