Job summary

Catholic High School (Primary) in Singapore is seeking a Teacher Aide to support Science teaching and learning in the Science Rooms. You will prepare lesson materials and equipment, maintain resources, and assist teachers with programmes and events.

The role includes hydroponics care, stock management, and ensuring the Science Enrich Corner is well-organised and clean. A Diploma or equivalent is preferred, with at least 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Able to manage Science Room resources and tasks systematically.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Science Room resource management and procurement support.
• Assist with purchasing materials and equipment.
• Conduct stocktaking of apparatus and teaching resources.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of Science Rooms and equipment.
• Prepare materials, apparatus and equipment for Science lessons.
• Prepare resources for practical activities and experiments.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of Science apparatus and equipment.
• Maintain and care for the school's hydroponics systems.
• Maintain related hydroponics equipment and ensure the systems are kept in proper working condition.
• Assist teachers in preparing and conducting Science-related school programmes, activities and events.
• Support activities at the Science Enrich Corner.
• Ensure the Science Enrich Corner and its resources are clean, organised and well-maintained.
• Perform other Science Room-related duties reasonably assigned by the school.
