Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services is assisting a school in Singapore to hire a Science Laboratory Assistant who will support teachers by preparing and managing laboratory resources and activities. The role involves organizing equipment, maintaining inventories, and ensuring safety across Science rooms and facilities.

The successful candidate will also assist with stocktaking, waste disposal, and support science competitions and STEM projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec in Science or related field, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant Science laboratory experience preferred.
Experience supporting Science/STEM programmes and laboratory-based lessons in schools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Prepare teaching resources and materials for Science lessons, programmes and enrichment activities.
Organise, label and maintain Science equipment, materials, specimens and inventory records.
Ensure Science rooms, laboratory equipment and safety facilities are clean, safe and in good working condition.
Conduct stocktaking and maintain stock, loan and breakage records.
Assist with proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintain incident records.
Support Science competitions, assessments, STEM projects and school programmes.
Assist with safety briefings and basic administrative/logistical duties.
