Contract Period: From 1st Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026 (Extendable)
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of the science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) to ensure smooth running of daily science practical.
- Prepare apparatus and materials for internal Science practical exams.
- Handle procurement of materials (includes finance administration).
- Supervise the partnering Operations Support Officer (OSO) to maintain general cleanliness of the science laboratories.
- Maintain digital inventories for the science laboratories under charge and carry out stock check on a termly basis.
- Support the Centre of Excellence (for Science) Committee in the planning and implementation of its programme, including support in the conduct of exams or teaching and learning.
- Any other duties when needed as assigned by Head of Department Science or Subject Head (SH), Science.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least a Diploma in Science/related field or A-level or their equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience working as a lab technician in a school laboratory, preferably in a secondary school, in preparing for biology, chemistry and physics experiments.
- Possess good content knowledge and practical skills in laboratory work. Please indicate evidences on the resume
- Good communication and presentation skills, as well as good organisational skills and work efficiency, evident from past projects or achievements
Working Hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
