Job summary

Kranji Primary School is seeking a Teaching Aide to provide operational and admin support for Science lessons, plus logistics for English, Mother Tongue, Maths, CCA, and Admin departments. The role includes preparing hands-on materials, maintaining the Science Lab and MakerSpace, and aiding in events.

The Teaching Aide works under the HOD(Science), collaborates across departments, and may assist in library relief and reception tasks. Regular physical tasks are involved.

Qualifications

• (a) Secondary, GCE 'O' or 'A' Levels certificate or its equivalent
• (b) Previous or related work experience in a primary school science room is preferred
• (c) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• (d) Ability to multi-task
• (e) Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• (f) Ability to work as a team
• (g) Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and setting up
• (h) Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skill
• (i) Must possess character with respect to integrity and good work attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide resources for hands-on Science activities, assessments, and competitions; prep and organise resources and materials
• Set up resources and apparatus before lessons; assist teacher during lessons
• Support logistics for Science activities and events inside and outside the classroom; manage resources and spaces
• Assist across other departments with preparing instructional materials and manipulatives for lessons, events, and enrichment programmes
• Provide on-site support during departmental events; help with daily operations of the school office as needed
