Job description

Location: Bukit Timah

Working Hours: 42.5 hrs/weekly

Responsibilities

Daily Routine

• Opening/Closing: Open/close doors & windows, ensure gas taps and fans are off after practicals.
• Cleanliness: Maintain lab cleanliness — clear bins, clean sinks, wipe benches, shelves, and return reagents.

Supporting Lab Technicians (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Lower Sec Science)

• Prep & Cleanup: Set up/clear apparatus for lessons/exams, wash & dry equipment, store properly.
• Supplies: Fill distilled water, bench reagents; cut ingredients; dispense chemicals.
• Inventory & Labeling: Check stocks, label vials/beakers.
• Physics Support: Maintain apparatus (batteries, etc.).

Additional Duties

• Exam Support: Help with GCE O-level Science practical exams (prep & cleanup).
• Miscellaneous: Any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: GCE "O" level or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a Science Lab (e.g., Assistant Laboratory Technician) or science-related industry.
• Language: Fluent in English.
