School of Infocomm - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (CET and Skills Future)

Overview

The School of Infocomm is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, focusing on CET and Skills Future initiatives. The role involves contributing to the development and delivery of ICT courses, engaging with industry partners, and supporting marketing efforts to attract prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze market trends and data to propose training courses and implement marketing campaigns, utilizing insights to attract applicants.
  2. Engage with companies to tailor CET programs that meet workforce upskilling needs, serving as a bridge between corporate requirements and course delivery.
  3. Drive marketing initiatives through physical events and social media to enhance the online presence of CET offerings, appealing to individual learners and corporate clients.
  4. Support full-time and part-time courses related to Software Development, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, FinTech, AI, and other ICT modules.
  5. Implement and administer module delivery, including student assessments and assignments, to meet learning outcomes.
  6. Design and develop curriculum, learning activities, and materials for modules.
  7. Opportunities for professional growth through industry projects, research, and learning communities.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a relevant qualification in IT or Computer Science with at least 2 years of industry experience. Proficiency in two or more of the following areas is required:

  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell, Bash
  • Development of mobile and web applications, software testing
  • Containerization platforms and cloud deployment technologies
  • IT Audit, Compliance, Personal Data Protection
  • Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics
  • TensorFlow/PyTorch, DeepSpeed/Megatron-LM, LLM frameworks
