Job summary

A leading educational institution in Singapore is seeking an Associate Lecturer to facilitate student learning in Accounting, Taxation, and Audit. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting and professional certification, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience. Responsibilities include developing lesson materials and evaluating student performance. This position requires at least 2 days of commitment per week.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree, preferably in Accounting, or relevant field.
• Professional certification preferred (e.g. CA Singapore, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong practical experience in areas like auditing, taxation, accounting.

What the role is:

School of Business – Associate Lecturer (Accounting or Taxation or Audit)

What you will be working on:

• Facilitate student-learning for full-time Pre-employment (PET) students and Continuing Education and Training (CET) adult learners in areas such as
- Accounting
- Taxation
- Audit
• Design and develop engaging lesson materials tailored for PET and CET learners in finance and accounting modules
• Assist in marking and evaluating student assignments and exams using provided rubrics.
• Support and guide students through self-directed learning activities, encouraging critical thinking and practical application of finance/accounting principles
• Conduct self-assessment of the facilitation process for learning as semester-end report

What we are looking for:

• Possess a degree, preferably in Accounting, or relevant field(s)
• Professional certification preferred (e.g. CA Singapore, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Strong practical experience in areas like auditing, taxation, accounting, internal controls, or sustainability reporting.
• Preferably with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Able to commit at least 2 days per week to facilitate.
• Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
• Preferably possess own laptop with minimum Microsoft Office installed
