Scalp Therapist

As a Scalp Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in restoring balance, promoting healthy hair growth, and delivering deeply rejuvenating head spa treatments that go far beyond the surface. You’ll be part of a creative and holistic studio where your work helps people reconnect with themselves, one session at a time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform advanced hair spa and results-driven scalp treatments including deep cleansing, exfoliation, steam therapy, massage, and hydration protocols.
• Conduct in-depth scalp and hair assessments, identifying conditions and recommending customized solutions.
• Track client progress and tailor treatment plans to ongoing needs.
• Educate clients on scalp care practices and retail products that support home wellness.
• Ensure treatment room hygiene, equipment readiness, and a serene ambiance at all times.
• Collaborate with stylists to create integrated scalp + hair experiences.
• Ensure an exceptional client experience by providing personalized, relaxing, and results-driven treatments.
• Stay updated on the latest scalp and hair wellness innovations, treatment techniques, and product knowledge.
• Support the salon in driving treatment sales, retail product recommendations, and client retention initiatives.
• Contribute to service improvements and innovative treatment offerings to enhance salon competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or certificate in beauty therapy, massage, scalp treatment, or equivalent (training in Japanese or Korean scalp methods is a plus).
• Skilled in touch-based techniques with a passion for wellness and aesthetics.
• Friendly, calm, and empathetic approach to client care.
• Knowledge of scalp conditions, hair health basics, and treatment customization.
• Attention to hygiene, detail, and atmosphere.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

KEY DELIVERABLES

• Deliver services in accordance with brand protocols and timing standards.
• Provide accurate scalp diagnoses and explain treatment rationale clearly to clients.
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and aligned with brand aesthetic daily.
• Encourage repeat bookings and build client loyalty with thoughtful follow-ups.
• Keep up with trends in scalp care, wellness ingredients, and holistic therapy.
• Coordinate smoothly with stylists to enhance integrated hair + scalp experiences.
