Job summary

Siemens Mobility Singapore is seeking a motivated student to support SCADA system engineering and industrial networking within a dynamic project environment. You will assist with configuration, testing, FAT/SAT activities, and document outcomes.

This role offers hands-on exposure to OPC UA basics, Modbus, MQTT, and IT/OT integration while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive large-scale automation and digitalization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of industrial communication standards with a basic understanding of OPC UA.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, and basic industrial networking concepts.
• Strong technical documentation skills to produce clear, engineering records.
• Familiarity with databases including MS SQL, data structures, and basic querying techniques.
• Exposure to industrial automation technologies such as SCADA software and industrial protocols (Modbus, MQTT), virtual machines, or OT cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support SCADA System Engineering by assisting with configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA platforms in a project environment.
• Contribute to Industrial Network Activities by supporting network migration and maintaining connectivity and data integrity.
• Execute Testing Procedures by participating in FAT and SAT activities and documenting outcomes.
• Create Technical Documentation by preparing clear records of testing activities, system configurations, and project deliverables.
• Support IT/OT Integration by assisting with the implementation of communication technologies connecting industrial devices with enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Project Teams by working with engineering stakeholders to support large-scale industrial automation and digitalization initiatives.

• Supporting IT/OT Integration by assisting with the implementation of communication technologies that connect industrial devices with enterprise systems.
• Collaborating with Project Teams by working closely with engineering stakeholders to support large-scale industrial automation and digitalization initiatives.

• Familiarity with Databases including basic knowledge of MS SQL, data structures, and simple querying techniques.
