A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to oversee procurement functions. The role involves supplier development, negotiation of contracts, and ensuring timely material delivery. Ideal candidates will have an engineering background and 2 years of relevant experience, alongside strong negotiation and communication skills.

Job description

• To support and involve in all procurement functions include daily Purchasing activities, Supply Chain Management, Supplier/Subcontractor Development and Supplier Quality Management.

• To upkeep Purchasing procedures ie guidelines, standards, policies and procedures

• PO issuance, Purchase report generation, monitoring of delivery lead time and ensure materials delivered on-time.

• Coordinate with internal departments for subcontracting and Alliance schedule.

• Monitor Subcon and Alliance cost, check amount purchase against budget.

• Negotiate and review with external contract terms and conditions.

• Attend to internal quality complaint for Subcon and Alliance project and follow up on the counter measure.

• Sourcing and develop subcon to support various processes and meet in-house requirements.

• Ensure suppliers meeting to specification established requirements.

• Conduct periodic site audits/non-conformance verification at supplier’s premises.

• Conduct supplier quarterly business review through quarterly performance report.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in any Engineering field with minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong negotiation and sourcing skills

• Self-disciplined, pro-active, able to work independently

• Must have strong communications and a good team player

• Proficient in MS Office and presentation skills

5 days work week
