Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant for a 12-month contract to support our ongoing S/4HANA transformation project; up to 3 years long term projects. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, strong configuration capabilities, and a proven track record of advising on financial process optimization and business process improvement. The successful candidate will also possess excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with and manage expectations of senior finance business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP S/4HANA Finance Configuration & Technical Oversight:
- Lead and execute complex configuration activities within SAP S/4HANA Finance modules (e.g., General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), Cash Management, Treasury).
- Leverage a strong technical background to understand integration points, data models, and underlying system architecture.
- Collaborate with technical development teams (ABAP, Fiori, Integration) to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
- Conduct detailed functional and technical analysis of existing financial processes and system configurations.
Finance Process Advisory & Business Process Improvement:
- Provide expert advice to the finance organization on best practices for leveraging SAP S/4HANA to optimize financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement, automation, and standardization within finance operations, aligning with S/4HANA capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze pain points, and propose solutions.
- Drive the adoption of new financial processes and functionalities enabled by S/4HANA.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Plan, manage, and execute specific workstreams or smaller projects within the overall S/4HANA program, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Act as a primary point of contact for senior finance business stakeholders, including the CFO, building strong relationships and managing expectations.
- Facilitate clear and concise communication between IT and finance teams.
- Drive change management activities related to new system functionalities and process changes.
Solution Design & Documentation:
- Design robust and scalable SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
- Prepare comprehensive functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and user training materials.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and cutover activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Around 7-10 Years experience, ideally with 3-5 years of hands-on experience specifically with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or significant transformation projects.
- Proven strong technical background and understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, and integration technologies.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage workstreams, deliver results, and handle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and effectively with senior finance leaders, including the CFO.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable business language.
