Job summary

Axxis Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead end-to-end SAP implementations, upgrades, and S/4HANA transformations across Finance, SCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales. The role requires strong SAP knowledge, project management discipline, and leadership to drive delivery, manage budgets and timelines, and bridge business and IT teams.

Hybrid work arrangement in Singapore offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT project management experience.
• At least 5 years leading large SAP implementations or S/4HANA transformations.
• Proven track record delivering 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end SAP project plans with scope, milestones, deliverables, resources, and schedules.
• Lead cross-functional teams through Blueprint, Realization, Testing, Deployment and Hypercare.
• Manage multiple SAP workstreams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Oversee budgets, capital and operating costs, and resource management to meet targets.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and scope changes; implement mitigation plans.
• Act as primary interface between executives, business, and IT delivery teams.

SAP PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SAP Project Manager to lead complex, end-to-end SAP implementation, upgrade, and transformation programs (such as SAP S/4HANA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical SAP system knowledge, robust project management methodologies, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for driving project delivery across multiple workstreams - ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing budgets and timelines, and successfully bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Governance

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end project plans, defining scope, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and schedules.
• Establish project governance structures, decision-making processes, and quality assurance frameworks.

Execution & Delivery

• Lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams (functional consultants, technical architects, developers, and change management professionals) through all project phases (Blueprint, Realization, Testing, Deployment, and Hypercare).
• Manage multiple SAP workstreams (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales).

Resource & Financial Management

• Oversee project budgets, track capital and operational costs, and resources management to ensure financial targets are met.
• Optimize resource allocation and manage team workload and dynamics.

Risk & Issue Management

• Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and scope creep; formulate and execute effective mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary interface between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
• Facilitate transparent communication, deliver status updates, and manage client expectations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Preferably minimum of 10 years of overall IT project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on managing large-scale SAP implementations or S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering at least 3 full life-cycle SAP implementations from inception to go-live.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of SAP architecture, modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP), and deployment methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with cloud solutions, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and integration practices is a strong plus.

Certifications

• Professional project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master).
• SAP Activate or module-specific certifications are highly advantageous.

Soft Skills

• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms for senior stakeholders.
