Job summary

Axxis Consulting, SAP Platinum Partner, seeks an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead end-to-end SAP implementations, upgrades and transformations (S/4HANA). You will drive delivery across multiple workstreams, manage budgets and timelines, and bridge business stakeholders with technical teams.

Ideal candidates bring strong SAP knowledge, PMP/PRINCE2/Scrum Master certifications, and proven leadership to deliver complex projects in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years IT project management experience with at least 5 years in SAP implementations/S/4HANA transformations.
• Proven track record delivering at least 3 full life-cycle SAP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end project plans with scope, milestones, deliverables, resources and schedules.
• Establish governance structures, decision-making processes and QA frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional teams through Blueprint, Realization, Testing, Deployment and Hypercare.
• Manage multiple SAP workstreams (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales).
• Oversee budgets, costs and resources; optimize allocation and dynamics.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, scope creep; implement mitigations.
• Interface between executive leadership, business stakeholders and IT teams; provide status updates.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SAP Project Manager to lead complex, end-to-end SAP implementation, upgrade, and transformation programs (such as SAP S/4HANA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical SAP system knowledge, robust project management methodologies, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for driving project delivery across multiple workstreams - ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing budgets and timelines, and successfully bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Governance:
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end project plans, defining scope, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and schedules.
  • Establish project governance structures, decision-making processes, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Execution & Delivery:
  • Lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams (functional consultants, technical architects, developers, and change management professionals) through all project phases (Blueprint, Realization, Testing, Deployment, and Hypercare).
  • Manage multiple SAP workstreams (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales).
• Resource & Financial Management:
  • Oversee project budgets, track capital and operational costs, and resources management to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage team workload and dynamics.
• Risk & Issue Management:
  • Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and scope creep; formulate and execute effective mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary interface between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
  • Facilitate transparent communication, deliver status updates, and manage client expectations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Preferably minimum of 10 years of overall IT project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically focused on managing large-scale SAP implementations or S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering at least 3 full life-cycle SAP implementations from inception to go-live.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP architecture, modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM,SD, PP), and deployment methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and integration practices is a strong plus.
• Certifications:
  • Professional project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master ).
  • SAP Activate or module-specific certifications are highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms for senior stakeholders.
