Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, enhancement, and support of SAP PM/EAM in SAP S/4HANA.
• Analyze requirements and translate into scalable SAP solutions across PM, notifications, maintenance orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, functional locations, task lists, and maintenance planning.
• Ensure role governance, security controls, and SoD compliance throughout maintenance processes.
• Support integration between SAP PM and related modules (PTW, MM, FI/CO, PS) and external platforms via APIs/IDocs.
• Assist with data migration, testing, deployment, user acceptance, and post-go-live stabilization.

Job Description

SAP PM Consultant:

The SAP PM Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, enhancement, and support of Plant Maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management processes within Company’s SAP S/4HANA environment. The role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to ensure maintenance processes are aligned with operational and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, translating them into scalable SAP solutions, and supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP PM functionalities, including notifications, maintenance orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, functional locations, task lists, and maintenance planning.

The consultant is expected to possess strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and its impact on maintenance business processes. This includes experience in solution design, testing, deployment, data migration, user acceptance support, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

A critical aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with role governance and security standards. The consultant must understand SAP authorization concepts, access management processes, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) requirements, while working closely with governance and security teams to support audit and compliance objectives.

The role requires strong cross-functional knowledge and the ability to support integration between SAP PM and related SAP modules, including Permit To Work (PTW), Materials Management (MM), Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), Project Systems (PS), and other enterprise applications. The consultant should understand how maintenance processes impact procurement, inventory, project execution, costing, and financial reporting.

In addition, the consultant is expected to have experience integrating SAP with external platforms and third-party systems through standard integration technologies such as APIs, web services, middleware, IDocs. Exposure to mobile maintenance solutions is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 5 years of SAP PM/EAM consulting experience.
• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation and support projects.
• Strong understanding of enterprise asset management and maintenance business processes.
• Experience with role governance, access controls, and SoD compliance.
• Solid integration knowledge across SAP modules and external systems.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in both project and application support environments.

SAP certification and experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors would be considered beneficial.
