Job summary

Yeo Hiap Seng (Yeo’s) is seeking a SAP Platform & Security Engineer to ensure stability, performance, and security of our regional SAP landscape. The role manages Basis operations, authorizations, and cloud environments while coordinating with SAP and external partners for DR drills and enhancements.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in SAP Basis Administration and SAP Security, with hands-on experience in S/4HANA, SAP BTP, STRUST, and SSL/TLS management.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of SAP Basis Administration and SAP Security/Authorizations experience.
• Experience with S/4HANA environments and cloud-managed infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to operate across Singapore, Malaysia and other regional sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SAP S/4HANA on RISE landscape and admin of SAP BTP environments.
• Manage role design (PFCG), user provisioning and authorization issues.
• Coordinate with SAP and partners for DR drills, system refreshes, and migrations.
• Monitor system health, incidents, and ensure SLAs with external support.

Summarize / Overview of the objective of the role

The SAP Platform & Security Engineer ensures the stability, performance, and security of our regional SAP system landscape. He/She will manage core Basis operations and authorizations within our cloud environment, collaborate with external support partners to optimize infrastructure/landscape for smooth system operations, support continuous organization growth/improvement and system resilience and security initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• System Governance & Infrastructure/landscape: Oversee the SAP S/4HANA on RISE landscape, coordinating closely with SAP for foundational operations. Directly manage and administer SAP BTP environments and associated cloud applications. Coordinate and validate complex Basis operations with SAP, including local and remote client copies, system refreshes, and client exports/imports. Assist Infrastructure Manager in resolving critical and complex operations issues escalated from Service Desk to meet operational-level agreement (OLA) with Application Teams.
• Security, Authorizations & Certificate Management: Design, create, modify, and maintain roles using PFCG. Handle user provisioning and troubleshoot complex authorization issues (ST01, SU53). Support comprehensive security revamp exercises to ensure adherence to best practice governance. Manage SAP cryptographic setups (STRUST), including the installation, renewal, and administration of SSL/TLS certificates across both S/4HANA and SAP BTP environments.
• Service Excellence & Collaboration: Manage the Transport Management System (STMS) and ensure smooth deployment of changes. Analyze management reports on system health, performance, inventory and logs, open and track Basis related support incidents with SAP, and collaborate with external support partners for escalated functional/technical issues to identify opportunity for operational efficiency and effectiveness within set SLAs.
• Disaster Recovery & Resilience: Actively participate in, coordinate with SAP, and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to ensure system resilience, data integrity, and business continuity.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Degree/Diploma holder in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years extensive working experience in SAP Basis Administration and SAP Security/Authorizations.
• Experience in supporting S/4HANA environments and governing cloud-managed infrastructure is preferred.
• This role requires to support the region that Yeo’s operates which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, etc.
• Fluent in English, Chinese to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA on cloud, SAP BTP on cloud, SAP Integration Suite, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Power BI

Core skills

• Hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration, particularly governing modern SAP S/4HANA environments within an SAP RISE framework including managing the SAP Transport Management System (STMS) and coordinating SAP Notes/Patches.
• Strong proficiency in SAP security design concepts, PFCG role creation and authorization objects.
• Familiarity with cryptographic setups (STRUST) involving SSL certificates/certificate authorities.
• Experience coordinating system refreshes, client copies, and actively participating in DR drills alongside cloud providers.

Opportunities to learn

• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) administration and Cloud Connector configurations.
