ICON CONSULTING-GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Manager - SAP FICO Lead to drive SAP Finance and Controlling transformation initiatives for enterprise clients.

You will lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, provide functional leadership, manage client stakeholders, and oversee project delivery. This role requires deep SAP FICO expertise, consulting experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead teams while contributing to business development

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - SAP FICO Lead to lead SAP Finance and Controlling transformation initiatives for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, providing functional leadership, managing client stakeholders, and overseeing project delivery.

This role requires a combination of deep SAP FICO functional expertise, consulting experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead teams while contributing to business development and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Functional Leadership

• Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, migrations, and enhancement projects, particularly within SAP S/4HANA environments.


• Provide functional expertise across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting (CCA), Profit Centre Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.


• Drive solution design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.


• Lead finance transformation initiatives involving process standardisation, automation, and optimisation.


• Oversee integration between SAP FICO and other modules, including MM, SD, PP, and Project Systems (PS).


• Advise clients on SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities, Universal Journal, Business Partner integration, and financial reporting.

Project Delivery & Management

• Take ownership of SAP FICO workstreams across large-scale implementation and transformation programmes.


• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.


• Lead functional workshops, business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design discussions.


• Ensure delivery quality through effective governance, documentation, testing, and change management.


• Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, project managers, and other functional leads to ensure successful project delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CFOs, Finance Directors, and IT leadership.


• Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP Finance solutions.


• Facilitate executive-level discussions and provide recommendations on finance transformation strategies.


• Manage client expectations, resolve escalations, and maintain strong long-term relationships.

People Leadership & Practice Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop SAP FICO consultants and functional teams.


• Support resource planning, performance management, and capability development.


• Contribute to SAP practice growth through solution offerings, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.


• Support presales activities, including RFP responses, solution proposals, effort estimation, and client presentations.


• Identify opportunities for account expansion, additional consulting engagements, and new business development.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 12-15 years of SAP consulting experience , with extensive hands-on expertise in SAP FICO.


• At least 5 years of experience leading SAP FICO workstreams or managing SAP consulting teams.


• Proven experience delivering at least 3 full-cycle SAP implementations, including SAP S/4HANA.


• Strong understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling configuration, integration, and business processes.


• Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration, greenfield or brownfield implementations, and finance transformation programmes.


• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client engagements and senior-level stakeholders.


• Strong consulting background, preferably gained within a Big Four consulting firm, global systems integrator, or established SAP consulting practice.


• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.


• Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.


• Experience with SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, Treasury, FSCM, or SAP Analytics Cloud.


• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.


• Experience delivering regional or global SAP transformation programmes across APAC.


• Previous involvement in presales, solutioning, commercial proposals, and SAP practice development.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an established SAP FICO consulting leader who combines strong functional expertise with commercial awareness and delivery management capabilities. They should be comfortable engaging C-suite stakeholders, leading multidisciplinary consulting teams, managing complex SAP transformation programmes, and contributing to the growth of the SAP consulting practice.
