Job summary

Exasoft Pte. Ltd. is seeking aSenior SAP development lead to own the development workstream across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, CDS and OData. You will govern clean-core extensibility and side-by-side extensions within SAP BTP, CAP/RAP, ensuring secure, scalable delivery.

You will translate functional specs to technical designs, drive code reviews, unit tests, and DevOps practices in a security-conscious, defence-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years SAP development experience with 5+ years in a development lead role.
• Proficiency in ABAP (HANA/RAP), CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, forms and interfaces.
• Experience with clean-core extensibility, BTP CAP/RAP and API-based integration.
• Engineering practice including code reviews and security scanning; DevOps discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP development workstream, backlog, standards, code review and quality.
• Lead ABAP, OData, CDS, Fiori/UI5 development, forms and interfaces.
• Govern extension strategy: clean-core and side-by-side extensibility; manage transports and DevOps.
• Translate functional specs into technical specs and deliver objects with leads.
• Provide two to three detailed case examples matched to defence or air-gapped environments.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Own the development workstream — the RICEFW / extension backlog, build standards, code review and quality.
• Enforce clean-core development: prefer in-app and side-by-side extensibility (BTP, RAP / CAP) over core modification; govern the extension register.
• Lead ABAP / OData / CDS development, Fiori / UI5 apps, forms (Adobe / SmartForms), interfaces and enhancements.
• Own developer authorisation, transport discipline and DevOps / CI-CD where applicable, with Basis and the Technical Architect.
• Translate functional specifications into technical specifications and delivered objects with the functional leads.
• Own unit-test coverage, code security scanning and performance-conscious development.
• Support SIT/UAT defect resolution and build cutover technical objects (migration programs, conversions).
• Manage the development team including security-cleared developers and any on-shore / off-shore split permitted under defence rules.

Requirements

• Minimum: 10+ years SAP development experience, of which 5+ years as a development lead, with at least two full-lifecycle S/4HANA builds including clean-core extensibility.
• Development breadth: ABAP (including ABAP for HANA / RAP), CDS, OData, Fiori / UI5, forms, interfaces and enhancements.
• Clean core & BTP: in-app and side-by-side extensibility, BTP (CAP / RAP) and API-based integration.
• Engineering practice: code review, security scanning (e.g. CVA), transport / DevOps discipline and performance tuning.
• Team leadership: leading cleared developer teams and governing build quality.
• Public-sector / defence: development under classified constraints and controlled environments (on-shore / cleared, restricted access).
• Provide two to three detailed case examples matched to the role and to defence or air-gapped environments.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• SAP certification in ABAP / development or S/4HANA extensibility.
• Awareness of SAP Activate methodology.
• SAP BTP / Fiori certifications.
