Job summary

ABeam Consulting in Singapore is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer/Consultant to join the Enterprise Transformation team. You will work with cross-functional teams, design and customize SAP ABAP solutions, and collaborate with SAP technical consultants to ensure timely delivery and high quality.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years of SAP ABAP experience, exposure to S/4HANA, RAP, and ABAP Cloud, and prior consulting experience. Localization to Singapore onsite is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have over 4-5 years of SAP ABAP working experience.
• Experience in a technical team for project delivery (4-5 years).
• At least 3-5 years in a consulting environment as Technical Developer.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of RAP and ABAP Cloud.
• Proficiency in ABAP Objects for classes, reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Experience with HANA/S4HANA developments and AMDPs/CDS views.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, development and customization using SAP ABAP.
• Collaborate with SAP technical consultants to deliver and test solutions.
• Ensure on-time delivery by setting and following target dates.
• Identify risks and opportunities related to technical implementations.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to other team members.

The Enterprise Transformation (EX) team is the current SAP Partner of the Year for Singapore and also SAP’s Regional Strategic Partner. The EX team is continuously looking to build its capabilities and competencies in line with SAP’s regional strategy and in working with our clients both old and new on their transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• AsABAP Developer/consultant, you will be working with our client(s) cross-functional teams, IT development team and business users at the consulting level


• Design, configuration, design, development and customization using SAP ABAP; Strive for top quality results and continuously look for ways to standardize, improve and enhance system reliability, performance, and security


• Work closely with SAP technical consultants to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality; to set team’s target delivery dates and ensure the delivery on-time


• Monitor and identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues, and opportunities related to technical aspects of implementation


• Manage the complex developments by her/himself or guide the respective developer to achieve the delivery.


• Train and transfer knowledge to other team members


• Recognizes impacts of changes and ensures appropriate due diligence is performed before making changes and is thorough in testing solutions before implementing to avoid reworks


• Responsible for technical design solution prior implementation of projects or change requests


• Responsible for technical implementation quality and ensuring quality to minimum rework after deployment


• Leverage on thorough understanding of business processes and system processes to make recommendations and propose technical/non-technical solutions to meet business requirements

Requirements

• Must have over 4-5years of SAP ABAP working experience


• Must havemore than 4-5years working in a technical team for project delivery


• Must have at least 3-5years in consulting environment as Technical Developer


• Have experience in SAP project implementation in S4 HANA


• Have in-depth knowledge of RAP.


• Have a strongunderstanding of Clean Core and the ability to perform tasks using ABAP Cloud.


• Highly preferred technical ABAP developerwith Java, Node JS, XSJS hands on experience


• Demonstrates proficiency and expertise in programming using ABAP Objects in developing classes, interactive reports, dialog transactions, enhancements, interfaces and conversions as required by business using BADIs, BAPI’s and dialog programs


• Strong experience in HANA and/or S4HANA developments and usage of AMDPs and CDS view creation


• Works with SAP development tools and technologies


• Provide information/advice to team regarding best practices, industry trends, as well as feedback on the overall performance of processes and tools


• Keep up to date with latest technologies and tools and evangelize their value within the development teams


• Experience in working in a consulting environment is preferred


• Preferred current base in Singapore and able to work full time onsite
