A leading food testing laboratory in Singapore is seeking a Sample Collection Supervisor to manage a team of collectors in the field. Responsibilities include overseeing sampling activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and training junior staff. A physically fit individual able to handle moderate lifting is preferred.

Job Summary:
The Sample Collection Supervisor is a field-based role responsible for leading and supporting a small team of sample collectors. This position involves actively participating in sample collection activities while ensuring that all collections are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company protocols. The Supervisor will manage day-to-day operations on the ground, guide team members, and ensure timely delivery of collected samples to the designated location.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and work alongside the sample collection team in the field to collect samples from client or to conduct sampling.
Ensure all collections are conducted following safety guidelines, proper handling procedures, and company protocols.
Coordinate daily routes and ensure the team follows assigned schedules and priorities.
Act as the main point of contact between the field team and office-based staff.
Train, mentor, and support new or junior collection staff on procedures and customer interaction.
Monitor team performance and resolve issues that arise during field operations.
Ensure all vehicles, equipment, and PPE used in the field are maintained, clean, and properly stocked.
Requirements
Proven experience in sample collection, fieldwork, or logistics role.
Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work outdoors and travel daily to various locations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physically fit and able to handle moderate lifting and walking.
Able to work 5.5 days per week
