We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator/Developer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for supporting, customising, and optimising Salesforce to align with our changing business workflows and objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders, identify requirements, and implement solutions within Salesforce to improve productivity and user experience. In addition, you will assist with general IT end-user support as needed, acting as a valuable team player for both specialised Salesforce needs and broader IT concerns.
Responsibilities
- Salesforce Administration: Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings.
- Customisation: Develop and configure custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and automated processes.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce issues, escalating as necessary and ensuring timely problem resolution.
- Process Optimisation: Analyse business requirements, suggest improvements, and implement updates and integrations as needed.
- User Training & Documentation: Train end-users, develop user guides, and provide ongoing support and resources to ensure adoption and effective usage.
- Data Management: Oversee data imports/exports, data quality, deduplication, and basic data integrations.
- System Upgrades & Best Practices: Stay updated with Salesforce releases and best practices, ensuring the platform remains current and secure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department leads, stakeholders, and the IT team to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- General End User IT Support: Provide help desk and technical assistance to end users across the organisation as needed, troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, or systems and escalating complex issues to specialised IT staff when appropriate.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer in a business environment.
- Salesforce Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications are required; Advanced Administrator and Salesforce Developer certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, security model, workflows, process builder, and automation tools.
- Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to document processes and train users at all levels.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
