Job description

What you'll do:

As a Sales Trading Associate based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in the fast-evolving landscape of electronic fixed income trading. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around producing insightful data analyses that empower decision-makers across APAC. By partnering with sales leaders and strategy experts, you will help shape business direction through clear reporting on market trends and performance metrics. Your ability to translate raw data into compelling stories will be crucial when presenting findings to both internal stakeholders and external clients. In addition to analytical tasks, you will play an essential role in onboarding new counterparties—ensuring every step from documentation through training is handled efficiently. Your efforts will directly contribute to building long-term relationships with clients while supporting their ongoing engagement with the platform.

  • Produce comprehensive regional data analyses by aggregating trade volume and platform trading data across multiple APAC product segments to inform business decisions.
  • Identify emerging trends, key performance drivers, and under-penetrated markets by preparing detailed dashboards and presentations for senior management review.
  • Collaborate closely with the Strategy Execution Lead to design, implement, and refine KPI frameworks as well as continuous evaluation processes that enhance business performance.
  • Support the Sales Team by generating tailored reports on client and dealer trading activity, including enquiry-to-trade ratios, execution protocols, and platform usage patterns.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports that highlight successes, anomalies, and areas for improvement across the region.
  • Present findings during client calls or visits to ensure stakeholders are informed about trading behaviours and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Work alongside Product teams to develop client-specific enhancements that improve user experience on the trading platform.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process by coordinating with Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Back Office teams to expedite documentation and connectivity for new clients.
  • Manage all aspects of client training, testing, and go-live activities to ensure smooth transitions onto the platform while addressing future training needs proactively.

What you bring:

To excel as a Sales Trading Associate in this organisation, your background should reflect proven experience within financial services—ideally involving exposure to fixed income products or electronic trading environments. Your technical expertise in Excel will be complemented by familiarity with modern BI tools or programming languages used for data analysis. Beyond technical skills, your interpersonal strengths—such as empathy for client needs, reliability as a team member, and sensitivity towards collaborative goals—will set you apart. You should feel comfortable managing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy in your work. A genuine enthusiasm for sharing knowledge during client training sessions or internal meetings will further enhance your impact in this role.

  • Demonstrated familiarity or keen interest in fixed income markets combined with an understanding of electronic trading platforms gained through prior experience at a bank, asset manager or similar venue.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VBA/macros, and data modelling techniques that enable effective manipulation of large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI or scripting languages like Python or SQL is highly advantageous for turning complex information into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional quantitative aptitude allowing you to distil raw data into clear recommendations that support commercial objectives.
  • Meticulous organisational skills paired with a detail-oriented approach enable you to manage multiple priorities effectively within a busy environment.
  • A collaborative mindset ensures you thrive as part of a team while also being dependable when working independently on assigned projects.
  • A sales-oriented personality focused on nurturing client satisfaction through attentive service delivery and relationship building over time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities equip you to present confidently to diverse audiences including senior management and external partners.
  • A proactive attitude coupled with a results-driven work ethic ensures you consistently seek out opportunities for improvement.
