The role of the Sales Surveillance Officer reports to the Lead, Monitoring & Reporting. You will be responsible for administering and conducting assessments under the Fit & Proper framework and the Replacement of Policy framework, as well as managing Reference Checks, Surveys and Span of Control (SOC) processes.
Job Description:
Conduct thorough assessments and provide well-grounded recommendations for new candidates with adverse findings.
Review representatives under enhanced monitoring to ensure compliance and propriety.
Offer guidance and support to the business on matters related to Fitness and Propriety Assessment.
Deliver comprehensive evaluations and sound decisions on appeals concerning the Replacement of Policy.
Offer guidance and expertise on work processes associated with the Replacement of Policy to ensure efficiency.
Advise and support the business on Replacement of Policy-related matters.
Perform thorough reference checks for former representatives, ensuring the accuracy of the information gathered.
Assist with the coordination and execution of customer surveys to gather actionable insights.
Review and evaluate requests for SOC deviations to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
Undertake ad-hoc tasks, projects or reviews as directed by Lead, Monitoring & Reporting.
Who we are looking for:
Self-motivated and driven.
Analytical and attentive to details.
Basic understanding of the insurance industry and operations.
Basic knowledge of regulations and industry guidelines applicable to the insurance/financial industry such as Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and its subsidiary regulations, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations, Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board regulations, Life Insurance Association (LIA) guidelines.
At least 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role in a financial institution or similar.
Preferably with experience in dealing with Distribution functions.
Preferably with Insurance-related certifications (e.g. FLMI (LOMA), CMFAS Module 5, 9, 9A & Health Insurance).
Degree, preferably in Business, Insurance or Finance related fields.
Strong command of the English language.
