Role Summary

The Sales Specialist Trading Solutions is responsible for growing the LSEG Order and Execution Management Solutions (AlphaDesk and TORA) business in a defined territory through prospecting for new clients and developing new business opportunities within existing customer accounts.

The Sales Specialist must have domain knowledge of both buyside and sellside order management and execution workflows and trade lifecycle. For the Buyside this includes: Fund Management, Position Keeping, Compliance, Order and Execution Management, FIX Protocol/Networks, Exchange Traded and OTC Securities, Market Data (Realtime and Reference), and Fund Accounting. For Sellside this includes: Order Workflow Automation, Algorithmic Trading, Multi-Asset Order Management, FIX Protocol/Networks, Exchange Gateways, and Market Data (Realtime and Reference).

The successful candidate must be able to effectively position and demonstrate the LSEG solutions in this area and through a consultative sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively drive pipeline and gross sales, keeping pipeline and sales forecasting accurate and up to date in Salesforce and other internal reporting tools.
  • Structure, negotiate and close deals by working closely with account managers, pre-sales, and various other internal and external teams.
  • Develop and execute the sales plan and strategy within your defined territory.
  • Provide insights and share LSEG thought leadership with customers.
  • Deliver customer presentations and product demonstrations (not all products).
  • Act as the 'voice of the customer' by feeding back product and content requirements to our product and business management teams.
Who are we looking for?
  • Proven sales experience in selling Trading Solutions with a consistent track record of selling into Asian markets to Buyside hedge funds / fund managers and/or Sellside brokerages
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and electronic order flows from Buyside origination through Sellside execution
  • Broad knowledge of trading styles (low/high-touch, algorithmic, market making) and asset classes (equities, bonds, futures, options, FX, digital assets)
  • Ability to interact with customers in a consultative, face-to-face selling environment in a way that builds value for the customer and facilitates opportunities for future sales.
  • Ability to work effectively in a large and sophisticated as well as fast-paced, constantly evolving and rapidly growing sales environment.
  • Able to work under pressure and under aggressive gross sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
