Job description

A sales promoter is a marketing professional responsible for generating interest and sales for a specific product or brand by directly engaging with potential customers at retail locations, events, or promotional booths, often through product demonstrations, sampling, and providing detailed information to encourage purchases ; essentially, they act as a brand ambassador to actively promote sales on the frontline.

Key responsibilities of a sales promoter:

  • Product Demonstration: Actively showcase product features and benefits to customers through demonstrations, explaining how the product works and addressing any questions they may have.
  • Customer Engagement: Initiate conversations with potential customers, build rapport, and actively listen to their needs to tailor product recommendations.
  • Sales Pitching: Deliver persuasive sales pitches highlighting the unique selling points of the product to convince customers to make a purchase.
  • Sampling: Distribute product samples to customers to allow them to experience the product firsthand and encourage trial.
