A leading company in the interconnect components industry is looking for an APAC Operations Manager. This role involves coordinating sales strategies, enhancing productivity through system improvements, and managing team effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of sales experience and a degree in a relevant engineering field, along with strong communication skills.
Scope of Responsibility
Work with Management to coordinate and execute strategies and actions to ensure that all Sales, Profitability, and Customer satisfaction goals are achieved
Engage with Branch Managers to share best practices and develop consistent, efficient tools and policies.
Be a dependable and model representative committed to Heilind and a visible example to employees, customers, and suppliers
Lead, motivate, and promote camaraderie
Communication
IS/IT Interface and liaison for all enhancement requests, system changes and new releases
Work with all departments to answer questions or elevate issues
Communicate all relevant policies and procedures to the appropriate employees
Report system processes not working to its full capacity to IS/IT
Liaison for division, regional, and corporate communication
Communicate to Inside Sales Teams to manage branch backlog so that forecast visibility is clear
Strategic Operational Responsibilities
Work with IS/IT and Management to recommend and develop improvements in business systems that affect quality, productivity, profitability, or growth
Increase efficiencies and productivity
Assist with Workload balancing in the branches
Insure trainings are done adequately and there is understanding by the employees
Tactical Operational Responsibilities
Drive the measurement and improvement of company objectives regarding Sales, GP%, Reserve inventory management, On Time Delivery, and RMA’s and credits.
Develop, Analyze and review reports that will assist with managing the business.
Identify problem and low profitable Customers
CPA (Customer Profitability Analysis) review and recommendations
Training curriculum and support for inside sales processes and programs
Recommend Customers for automation to increase efficiencies and profit
Proactively analyze, recommend, develop, implement, and monitor Inside processes and programs affecting productivity
Specific Tactical responsibilities of APAC Operations Manager
Workflows – in some tables for approval
Coordinate with HR and compliance officer on Customer Contracts and Legal Documents review
Review GP alerts or issues from Product and assist with resolution
Drive margin corrections with inside sales team, product, and Staff Services (Joann in US, YK in Asia)
Involvement in top customer’s needs (quotes, pricing holds, documentation, line down situations, expedites)
Load balancing evaluation to identify and recommend the addition of employees
Elevation of credit issues within the branches (short pay, late, price discrepancies) that are not being dealt with
Monthly one on one meetings with each Inside Sales Supervisor
Liaison with IS/IT on branch issues
Coordinate training sessions
Help develop quote strategies with all divisions
Regular conference call with entire Inside Manager teams
Review updates, challenges, and successes
Inventory reserve resolutions and issues
Drive solution on slow moving inventory
Elevation point for Asset with the branches and employees
Drive corporate initiatives with the Inside team
Drive SBM/Supplier target accounts
Work with the RPS team and IS/IT on ecommerce and automation tools
RPS audit coordination for noncompliance of audits, slow moving inventory, and adding or removing parts from a program, especially consignment
Customer tracker and slow-moving inventory (reserve) review
Quality liaison and elevation point
Warehouse calls and solutions with Customer requirements
Human Resource advocate on difficult Inside team behavior
Manage Customer VPA’s
System software testing and documenting
Attend Sales Meetings
Final escalation point for inventory allocation problems
Support traffic and logistics issues
MR receive and revert to sales increase or drop. Remind sales when customer MR not receive.
Customer Tracker – every 15th of the month.
Global Contact upload – Every quarterly basis
Customize Label – by request
New or Existing Customer program – by request
New or Existing Supplier program – by request
E-store account (customer/internal) – by request
Consignment report – Every 1st of the month
MRP report – Every Friday
Report past due SO to sales
Check missing/no approval Buffer SO & update Buffer liability list for those SO not provided
EBiz Dashboard error –report to sales on the errors
Operational support for other departments
Requirements:
Degree holder or above, preferably in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years of sales experience, preferably in interconnect components (Connectors/Switches/Relay etc.)
Good command of Mandarin andEnglish
Good time management and multi-tasking skills
Team player and able to communicate with all levels/departments
Positive attitude, detail-minded, service oriented and willing to learn
