Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement an integrated, data-driven sales and marketing strategy to enhance brand awareness and student acquisition across local and global markets.
- Launch and manage innovative branding initiatives and cross-channel campaigns (digital, print, events) to reinforce institutional reputation and attract high-calibre students.
Student Recruitment
- Lead strategic recruitment efforts through roadshows, career fairs, info sessions, and course previews.
- Collaborate with Heads of Schools to craft enrolment strategies aligned with institutional growth and budget targets.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including agents, in-country managers, partner institutions, and internal teams.
- Develop strategic alliances and initiatives that drive sustainable growth and diversification.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Provide vision, direction, and leadership to both local and international sales and marketing teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team is appropriately staffed and skilled to meet departmental goals.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior management and the Board.
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets efficiently, ensuring optimal return on investment across all campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Brand & Communications
- Develop and execute an effective marketing and communications plan to meet recruitment targets and elevate the institution’s positioning in line with its Strategic Plan.
Problem-Solving & Innovation
- Identify emerging challenges and opportunities in student recruitment and propose actionable, innovative solutions.
- Lead change management efforts to adapt quickly to shifting market demands.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with faculty, academic departments, and student services to ensure alignment and integration of recruitment strategies with institutional goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in sales and marketing within the education sector, ideally in a private institution.
- Proven track record of driving student enrolment growth through strategic initiatives, targeted campaigns, and market-specific approaches.
- Demonstrated experience in building and expanding international student markets, including managing global recruitment channels, partnerships, and in-country representatives.
- Deep understanding of the global education landscape and evolving needs of international students, with awareness of regional market trends and challenges.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into effective recruitment and marketing strategies.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional influencing, negotiation, and leadership abilities; capable of leading diverse, cross-cultural teams and collaborating with key stakeholders.
