Job Overview

Within the Customer Support and Services Organization, the Services Sales Manager is accountable for achieving functional and business objectives. The successful candidate will report to the Sales & Services Director of Safran Landing Systems based in Vélizy, France. The role is based in Singapore, with the understanding that extensive travel within the Asia region (30 to 50% of working time) will be required.

The successful candidate should be comfortable engaging with contacts at all levels, from shop floor mechanics to CEOs, CFOs, and VPs internally and externally.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work remotely from European management and communicate proactively to ensure smooth and efficient business workflows.

Job Duties

  1. Manage a portfolio of existing customers and develop relationships with new clients to expand SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS' Landing Life Services market and product footprint.
  2. Identify and secure profitable Services business within the Service Organization network.
  3. Negotiate contract terms with customers to support long-term business, with legal support as needed.
  4. Understand market needs, customer expectations, competition, and pricing to meet personal and team sales objectives.
  5. Represent the voice of the customer within SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS and act as the company's ambassador to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and MROs.
  6. Seek, identify, and capture profitable Landing Life Services business to achieve sales targets.
  7. Manage the landing gear/component intake forecast for the designated sales territory and region, providing accurate updates to SAFRAN LANDING SYSTEMS.
  8. Comply with Safran Group and Safran Landing Systems' processes, rules, and code of conduct.
  9. Promote internal changes to improve services to meet customer needs.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of the aviation industry and established contacts are preferred.
  • Technical background/exposure, especially in systems equipment, is advantageous.
  • Financial awareness, including accounting knowledge, is required.
  • Languages: English is essential; appreciation of Mandarin is desirable.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive work style.
