Our Sales team for Southeast Asia & Australia/New Zealand is looking for a Sales Manager to join us in driving growth and delivering value to our customers. In this role, you'll engage early with shipowners, operators, designers, and yards, positioning Kongsberg Maritime (KM) as their preferred partner for integrated marine systems and solutions. You’ll work across a variety of sales opportunities, connecting globally with our product and sales teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop deep market insight and a strong understanding of customer operations, challenges, and strategic goals to proactively propose value-driven KM solutions—bringing fresh, creative thinking to every engagement
  • Lead the creation of technical and commercial proposals in close collaboration with product teams, including detailed OPEX/CAPEX analysis and optimized vessel configurations
  • Drive early and impactful engagement with key maritime stakeholders—shipowners, operators, designers, and yards—to shape both immediate wins and long-term pipeline opportunities
  • Contribute actively to the formulation and execution of strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with both regional and global business objectives
  • Build, grow, and sustain trust-based relationships with new and existing customers, becoming a valued partner in their success
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration across product divisions, engineering, and regional/global sales teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Act as the regional sales leader and primary point of contact (“flag-bearer”) for the SEA & ANZ subregion, advocating customer needs and business priorities internally as needed
  • Foster a positive, customer-focused, and collaborative sales culture that reflects Kongsberg Maritime’s values across the Southeast Asia sales team and broader APAC region
  • Travel as required to support customer meetings and sales activities

Qualifications And Experience

  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in Business, Engineering, Maritime, or related fields
  • Sales or commercial experience within the maritime industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Customer-centric, curious, proactive, and confident in engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Structured, reliable, and collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability
  • A passion for learning, networking, and contributing to team success
