Job summary

RUPCHANDA RESTAURANT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Restaurant Operations Assistant to support the restaurant manager in daily duties and oversee guest service across all areas. This role involves coordinating with vendors, managing contracts, and upholding sanitation standards.

The candidate will help plan menus with chefs, monitor costs, maintain ambience, and drive positive guest experiences, while developing staff through feedback and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assist and co-ordinate the restaurant manager in all aspects of the daily restaurant duties
• Oversee all restaurant areas and assist the manager in final guest-service decisions
• Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
• Control costs by reviewing portions, quantities; minimize waste and ensure high-quality prep
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and legal regulations
• Publicize the restaurant through advertisements, media outreach, and event partnerships
• Plan menus with chefs, estimate costs and profits, adjust the menu
• Maintain ambience by controlling lighting, music, tableware, and food presentation
• Estimate food needs and place orders with distributors; schedule delivery of fresh items
• Ensure positive guest service; respond to complaints to turn guests into return visitors
• Develop employees by giving ongoing feedback and conducting performance reviews

• Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Publicizes the restaurant by designing and placing advertisements, inviting food editors to review the restaurant, contacting local magazines with feature ideas, encouraging local businesses to hold social events at the restaurant.
• Plans menu by consulting with chefs, estimates food costs & profits, adjusts menu.
• Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting,background music, glassware, dinnerware, & utensil quality & placement, monitoringfood presentation & service.
• Managing and storing vendors’ contracts and invoices
