Cogent Holdings Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping International (Singapore) Co., Ltd and has a wide range of clientele ranging from local SMEs to multinational companies. Cogent owns one of Singapore's largest one-stop integrated logistics hub, Cogent 1.Logistics Hub. It offers warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, container depot, ISO tank depot and automotive logistics services in Singapore.

Role Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding the company's sea freight and logistics business. This includes developing new business opportunities, establishing sales strategies, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

1. Meet and achieve targeted KPI and Budget

2. Build relationships with new prospective and existing customer

3. Find cold leads 90% of the time to bring in new sales (Hunter)

4. Explore business opportunities with existing customers (10%) of the group

5. Understand customer needs to provide quality service upon successful sales closing

6. Participate in global and local tenders

7. Build relationships with all carriers and liners to establish good reputations and rate

8. Coordinate with all departments locally or internationally within the group to establish the group goal of door-to-door supply chain services.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics or a related field.
  2. 5 years' experience with a track record in sales and business development in the freight forwarding industry
  3. Strong knowledge and experience in the sea freight industry
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  6. Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  8. Existing business pipelines and connections will be a plus.
