Job summary

An executive recruitment firm is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales and distributor management across selected ASEAN countries. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and at least 3 years of proven sales management experience. Responsibilities include driving customer satisfaction, managing project pipelines, and achieving sales targets. Fluent English is required, and proficiency in another Asian language is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies and business plans.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of another Asian language is a plus.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Sales and distributor management for selected few ASEAN countries, example, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.
  • Managing direct sales, budget, built customers and distributor accounts. Support spec-in, clarify technical queries with customers and offering solutions to customers
  • Key accounts updates against target, project pipeline, AR and sales forecast while identify new market opportunities
  • Ownership of CRM, constantly and gathering competitor pricing level, managing selling price and margins, identify opportunities in projects, and follow-up on projects until completion with factory and customer
  • Feedback to management on product and site issues and manage customer expectations, be the first contact
  • Ensure high levels of customer service are met by anticipating and even exceeding customer expectations. Insist upon highest possible standards of quality, technology and service aiming at client idealization
  • Stay abreast of current and future industry trends and promote the company and its interests at all times throughout the country
  • Ensure competence and compliance management of the functional team and sustainable implementation and application of competencies
  • Introduction of tools and methods for more efficient Performance, supported by tools and best practices from the Group, while collaborating in the global team for success
  • Manage the company's resources to achieve sales and profit targets in line with the approved annual business plan, respective budget and subsequent forecasts
  • Ensure that the company’s policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with business partners, customers, peers and authorities
Requirements
  • Engineering Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Business of relevant field
  • A minimum of 3-year proven experience in a regional sales management capacity, gained in the commercial function of a technically oriented company, ideally in the Extruders and Ancillary Equipment business
  • Demonstrable experience in developing sales and implementing strategies, business plans and targets for Asia market, which are agile towards the market changes and forces, as well result in business and profit growth
  • A clear understanding of sales – in terms of customer focus, market understanding, organization, structure, processes and methodologies
  • Experienced hands-on people management, meet the customer
  • Lead and motivate teams in an innovative and sales-focused environment
  • Ability to influence, change and convince stakeholders, peers and customers
  • From Chemical, Petrochemical, Plastic/Polymers, Food, Plastic Recycling industries
  • Fluent in English and preferably another Asian language too to liaise with customers
