This role involves managing sales operations, establishing partnerships with corporations, and contributing to the transition to renewable energy. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of sales experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and business-level proficiency in Japanese and English. Job Summary:

Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales with a passion for renewable energy? We're seeking an experienced Onsite PPA Sales Manager to drive the growth of our rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar PPA portfolio, focusing on distributed generation solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in expanding our reach by establishing and nurturing long-term partnerships with corporations seeking sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and exceed sales targets for our onsite solar PPA services, cultivating new customer relationships with businesses seeking rooftop solar, carport solar, and ground-mounted installations
  • Lead the commercial negotiation and contracting of onsite PPAs, ranging from large-scale corporate off-takers (e.g., global brands, data centers) to local businesses.
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies, working with technical teams to evaluate roof conditions, electrical infrastructure, and energy consumption patterns
  • Prepare compelling commercial offers that demonstrate clear energy cost savings through onsite generation, ensuring contract terms align with customer energy profiles and business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, installation, and O&M teams to ensure seamless project delivery from contract signing to system commissioning
  • Effectively manage multiple sales projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks, keeping projects on track, and providing clear, efficient reporting.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement onsite PPA sales strategy targeting high-energy consumption sectors including manufacturing, logistics, retail, and commercial real estate
  • Identify and prioritize facility-specific opportunities by analyzing energy usage patterns, roof/land availability, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Build strategic partnerships with real estate developers, facility managers, energy consultants, and industrial associations to generate qualified leads
  • Support implementation of targeted outreach campaigns for facility owners and energy managers, including participation in industry conferences, green building exhibitions, and corporate sustainability roundtables

Qualifications:

Education

  • University degree or higher. A background in business, or finance is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years selling intangible solutions and closing numerous commercial contract deals
  • Minimum 1 years related to renewable energy
  • Experience working in start-up company is a plus
