A leading trading company in Singapore is seeking a Sales Manager to drive sales volume and oversee product launches. This role includes negotiating with suppliers, managing a merchandising team, and fostering relationships with key clients, particularly in the spice and grain market. The ideal candidate should possess local market knowledge and be prepared to travel for product procurement.
• To be accountable for delivering sales volume to meet targeted sales objectives.
• To be responsible for the planning and implementation of our new product’s launching activities.
• Should have knowledge about the geographical and seasonal availability of products like spices, grains for procuring at the right time and should be able to negotiate with suppliers for the best prices.
• Should coordinate with the overseas team in preparing spice powders (Masala powders) to suggest the flavors and quantities required by customers in the local market.
• To build and strengthen relationships with buyers, retail personnel, and relevant parties to ensure smooth business operations.
• To promote and market the products to local buyers, especially new products from overseas, particularly from India, to the local market.
• Be prepared to travel overseas to procure products and possess local market product knowledge, especially about Bangladeshi products.
• Should liaise with import-export companies for product procurement.
• To lead, supervise, and manage the merchandising team to ensure effective workflow.
• Develop solid and trusting relationships with major key clients and the company.
• Make products appealing to the target market.
• Anticipate key account changes and suggest improvements.
• Manage communications between key clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with sales, creative, advertising, logistics, and other departments to ensure the highest quality of procured and sold products.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints.
