The Person
The individual will drive DenseLight business in Asia Pacific (outside China). This person has quota or sales budget responsibilities, and is the first contact point for new customers. This person is also expected to support DenseLight’s channel partners in their day to day functioning and ensure that these channel partners get the right information & tools to grow the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be on quota for a specific region or regions and be responsible, together with the other sales team members for meeting and beating the quota targets.
- You will manage the base customers, ensuring timely response to price or product requests, and follow through to close the orders
- Build intimacy with base customers so that you have a very good understanding of their end markets and buying cycles that enables you to forecast with fair accuracy.
- Help the Sales VP, and the sales team manage and generate the regular sales forecasts (monthly & quarterly)
- Help gather market & competition / pricing information and feed back to the sales team
- Help the Senior VP of Sales prepare for the weekly revenue meetings and sit in these meetings as an active contributor.
- You will be the first point of contact for new customers. You’ll ensure that all the relevant checks and DenseLight requirements are met before DenseLight starts engaging with these customers. Ensure that information is updated into the CRM on a regular & timely basis
- Work with DenseLight’s financial team on AR escalation issues
- You will work with the distributors as well as the base customers to deplete excess inventory if any, to help DenseLight reduce inventory, and increase revenue
- Interface with customer on quality issues.
- Work with the internal manufacturing & quality teams to ensure the problem is understood and that we deliver a solution in a timely manner, so as to ensure customer retention.
- Work with Product Marketing and internal engineering teams to help in the development of new markets, and help drive design wins for new products
- Maintain a minimum standard of business conduct as an employee of a Singapore company.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education
Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Minimum Experience & Requirements
- 5 years’ working sales experience
- Photonics / Optoelectronics experience preferred
- Application or R&D personnel looking to move into sales will be seriously considered
- Strong focus on building customer relationships, and proven ability to support sales team to grow business
- Familiar with Channel partner management
- Self-starter and have the ability to work independently
- Ability to travel across US, AP & Europe to attend the overseas customers meetings
- Currently domicile in Singapore and has employment permit here
