Job description
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to the sales team.
Motivates and encourages the sales team to ensure quotas are met.
Assigns territories and sets quotas for the sales team.
Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests products or services that will meet those needs.
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
Recruits sales representatives, sets objectives, trains and coaches them, and monitors their performance.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five or more years of experience in managing a sales team, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Proven record of success with the entire sales process from planning to closing.
Strong business sense and industry expertise.
Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
Superb leadership ability.
