Sales Manager - Strategic Initiatives, Reports To: Vice President of Sales

Sales Manager – Strategic Initiatives is responsible for overseeing, tracking, and managing business development and sales of Strategic initiatives in the APAC region. This role works with Country Sales Organisations in the region and is crucial for driving sales organisation, developing strategic plans and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve strategic initiatives.
    • Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Forecast sales performance and set quarterly and annual sales goals for the region.
    • Develop new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  2. Business Relationship Management (customer and regional stakeholders):
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region.
    • Address customer/country specific needs and come up with solutions to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  3. Sales Operations:
    • Monitor sales activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales volume, revenue, and expenses.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product management/development, to align sales strategies for execution of strategic initiatives.
  4. Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research together with country organisations. Evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns and initiatives.
    • Identify emerging market trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Electric engineering major with sales/marketing experience in industrial sales. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experienced in Industrial Communication IC range of products include connectivity and networks products such as electronic connector and cable solutions, Industrial ethernet is a PLUS.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager/Business Development Manager, preferably in a regional or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
