A leading company in Singapore is seeking an individual accountable for sales volume and product procurement in the spice industry. This role involves liaising with buyers and suppliers, managing a merchandising team, and ensuring successful product launches in the local market. Candidates should possess strong negotiation skills, knowledge of seasonal product availability, and be able to travel to India for procurement.

Job description

· To be accountable for delivering sales volume to meet targeted sales objectives.

· To be responsible for the planning and implementation of our new product’s launching activities.

· To liaise and negotiate with local market personnel, buyers, and suppliers directly in India for product procurement.

· Should have knowledge about the geographical and seasonal availability of products like spices and grains for procuring at the right time, and should be able to negotiate with suppliers for the best prices.

· Should coordinate with the overseas team in preparing spice powders (Masala powders) to suggest the flavors and quantities required by customers in the local market.

· To build and strengthen relationships with buyers, retail personnel, and relevant parties to ensure smooth business operations.

· To promote and market products to local buyers and introduce new products from overseas, especially from India, to the local market.

· Be prepared to travel overseas for product procurement and possess knowledge of the local Indian market products.

· Liaise with import and export companies for product procurement.

· Lead, supervise, and manage the merchandising team to ensure effective work performance.

· Develop trusting relationships with major key clients and the company.

· Make products appealing to the target market.

· Anticipate key account changes and improvements.

· Manage communication between key clients and internal teams.

· Collaborate with sales, creative, advertising, logistics, and other departments to ensure high-quality procurement and sales of products.

· Resolve inquiries, issues, and complaints from outlets and customers.
