The Sales Manager, under direction of supervision, primary responsibility is to support the Sales & Marketing team, developing mutually beneficial relationship with the customers, ensuring timely and effective opportunity progression.
The Sales Manager will actively participate discussions across departments, Sales & Marketing / Operations / Customer Services, contributing to the growth of the sales operational plan.
The role involves frequent customer interaction, and therefore will be an ambassador of Dedienne Aerospace, its brand, ethics and business vision.
- Sales / Leasing of products and services in response to customer requests for quotation and negotiating sales prices within defined parameters, maximising profitability
- Selling of products and services in response to internal requests generated within the business
- Preparation of estimates and quotations for customers
- Transacting sales contracts and associated Purchase Orders into individual sales transactions on sales system
- Communicating courteously with customers by telephone, email and face-to-face
- Invoice generation and delivery of invoice to customer
- Monitoring sales through to dispatch on sales system upholding data integrity
- Taking, progressing and monitoring orders and being operational point of contact for all orders under ownership
- Providing information to customers on status of order
- Converting current accounts into key accounts through optimisation of opportunities
- Managing and monitoring trends for requests for quotation
- Learning and keeping currency about organisation’s products and services
- Utilising gathered market intelligence to develop Dedienne Aerospace’s proprietary knowledge base
- Ensuring all sales and associated procedures are strictly adhered to
- Storage and filing of all paperwork associated with sales with customer
- Involved in development of sales system to improve operational efficiencies and information storage
- Liaison with Finance to ensure terms of sales are acceptable for credit assurance
- Liaison with Finance to provide information on invoices generated
- In support of the Sales & Marketing team, ensure products and services are quoted in reasonable pricing and lead-time
- Actively participate in regular meetings with other Sales Managers, Supply Chain Managers and Customer Services Manager to ensure maximisation of cross department discussions
- Business travel of up to 40% of the time will be expected to fulfil the Sales Manager role
