A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Sales Executive to drive sales and development of special equipment and projects. The successful candidate will manage customer relationships, increase market share, and ensure sales targets are met through proactive outreach and negotiations. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience in the shipping industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the shipping industry.
• Solid experience in customer acquisition and account management.
• Class 3 Driving License preferred with own transport.

Job description

Reporting to the Country Manager, he/ she will be responsible for the Sales & Development of the Special Equipment, OOG & Projects.

• Development of export / import volume by sea freight using our own special equipment namely the flat-rack and open top containers.
• Increase market share and coverage for our projects, out of gauge and special equipment vertical.
• Able to offer an all-in solution for customers export / import freight requirements.
• Identify and prospect new business/clients via cold-calling and sales activities.
• Responding to customers with rates promptly.
• Weekly review of sales performance and taking corrective action to ensure targets are met.
• Display efficiency in gathering market and customer feedback, negotiating with pricing/principal to close the deals.
• Ability to negotiate freight / slot rates with feeder operators and main line carriers will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years sales experience in shipping industry with solid experience in customer acquisition and account management.
• Possess Class 3 Driving License is preferred with own transport.
• Result oriented and self-motivated.
